I GIN A L <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12222 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br /> PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE THEREOF <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns certain personal <br /> property assigned to the Library, consisting of eight ( 8) reading <br /> tables and thirty-two (32) chairs (lithe Furniture") ; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37351 and <br /> Redwood City Charter Section 3!(d), the City may dispose of <br /> surplus property no longer required or needed for present or <br /> prospective municipal or public purposes without sale; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said surplus <br /> property and has determined that the current reasonable market <br /> value of the total of each of the surplus items to be conveyed as <br /> a unit is less than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> declare said property surplus and authorize its conveyance to the <br /> Apache County Library, Apache County, Arizona, in accordance with <br /> Section 37351 of the Government Code and Section 3! (d) of the <br /> Charter of the City of Redwood City; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares that <br /> the Furniture is surplus; that it is no longer necessary or <br /> required for municipal or public purposes; and that the appraised <br /> value of the total of each of the items to be conveyed as a unit <br /> is less than Five Thousand and Dollars ($5,000.00) . <br /> T <br />
