<br /> DES:ò:ik 06/06/94 (091/37) <br /> DES :' 06/13/94RR <br /> o RIG I N A L <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12207 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF <br /> SAN MATEO, TO CONSOLIDATE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WITH THE STATE-WIDE GENERAL <br /> ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 1994 <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 of the <br /> Charter of the City of Redwood City and Ordinance No. 2020 <br /> adopted July 9, 1990, General Municipal Elections of the City of <br /> Redwood City shall be held in said City on the same day as the <br /> State-wide General Election held in November of even-numbered <br /> years; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is desirable and in the public interest to <br /> consolidate the General Municipal Election with the State-wide <br /> General Election to be held on that date; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 of the Charter <br /> of the City of Redwood City and Ordinance No. 2020, adopted July <br /> 9, 1990, a General Municipal Election shall be held on November <br /> 8, 1994 for the purpose of electing three (3 ) Councilmembers for <br /> a term of three (3 ) years each. <br /> 2. The Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo is <br /> hereby requested, pursuant to the provisions of Elections Code <br /> Section 23302, to consolidate the General Municipal Election of <br /> the City of Redwood City with the State-wide General Election to <br /> be held on November 8, 1994. <br /> 12207 <br />
