MINUTE ORDER <br />JOINT CITY COUNCIL / SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD <br />PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY MEETING <br />June 12. 2017 <br />MO. 17-115 <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br />Date: June 13, 2017 <br />Attention: City Attorney <br />City Clerk <br />"hard copy available upon request" <br />SUBJECT: City Council Appointments to the Library Board and the Planning Commission <br />AGENDA ITEM: 8.13 (209) <br />Meeting of the Joint City Council/Successor Agency Board/Public Financing Authority Meeting on <br />June 12. 2017. <br />Present: Council Members, Aguirre, Borgens, Gee, Howard, Masur, Vice Mayor Bain, and Mayor <br />Seybert <br />Recommendation: <br />Appoint by roll call to fill: 1) two expiring seats on the Library Board for full term seats that expire on <br />June 30, 2021; and, 2) three expiring seats on the Planning Commission for full term seats that expire <br />on June 30, 2021 <br />Council Member Gee recused himself from voting on item 8.B — City Council Appointments to the <br />Library Board and the Planning Commission due to an absence during the Interview Session. <br />Library Board — two expiring full-term seats serving until June 30, 2021 by roll call vote: <br />➢ Janet Lawson (Aguirre, Borgens, Gee, Howard, Masur, Bain and Seybert) <br />➢ Lisa Hicks-Dumanske (Borgens, Howard, Masur, Bain and Seybert) <br />The appointees are Janet Lawson with seven votes, and Lisa Hicks-Dumanske with five votes. <br />Planning Commission —three expiring full-term seats serving until June 30, 2021 by roll call vote: <br />➢ Ernie Schmidt (Aguirre, Borgens, Gee, Howard, Bain and Seybert) <br />➢ Connie Guerrero (Aguirre, Gee, Masur, Bain and Seybert) <br />➢ Muhammad Safdari (Aguirre, Borgens, Gee, Masur and Seybert) <br />The appointees are Ernie Schmidt with six votes, Connie Guerrero with five votes and Muhammad <br />Safdari with five votes. <br />Silvia Vonderlinden <br />City Clerk <br />
