<br /> ~ltIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> for <br /> FAMILIES IN PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM - PROJECT READ <br /> (REDWOOD CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY) <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this \ &" day of <br />C9~,,- , 1996, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"), and the REDWOOD <br />CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY, acting by and through the Library Board ("Contractor"); <br /> WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a families in partnership program <br />(Project Read) for residents of the City (the "Program"); and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July <br />1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, solely for the <br />purposes described in paragraph 2. <br />2. Use of Funds. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to <br />paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibits "A" (Budget), <br /> -" <br />
