ORIGINAL <br />SAN MATEO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SAN MATEO COUNTY <br />COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS AND THE CITY OF <br />OFFICE OF REDWOOD CITY FOR SAN MATEO COUNTY CHILD <br />EDUCATION CARE PARTNERSHIP COUNCIL SERVICES <br />Anne E. PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made on behalf of the San Mateo County Child Care Partnership Council <br />(CCPC), the Local Child Care Planning Council for San Mateo County, and entered into by and between <br />the San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools ("County Superintendent") as lead agency and fiscal <br />designee and the City of Redwood City, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of <br />California ("City") for the purpose of funding costs for activities in support of the Child Care <br />Partnership Council. <br />The San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools is the lead agency and fiscal agent for the Child Care <br />Partnership Council. The City has been selected by the County Superintendent to receive funds in order <br />to provide the services detailed in the attached Scope of Work (Attachment A) in support of the work of <br />the Child Care Partnership Council. Funding for this agreement is contingent upon completion of all <br />required responsibilities (See Sections 2 and 3 below) in a manner that is both timely and in compliance <br />with the terms of the Agreement. <br />H. COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />It is agreed between the County Superintendent of Schools and the City as follows: <br />1. Term of Aereement <br />The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. <br />2. Payments <br />The County Superintendent shall issue payment to the City in an amount not to exceed fifty-one <br />thousand, six hundred eighty-nine dollars ($51,689) for the Services (this is broken down as follows: <br />personnel costs $50,039 and other expenses $1,650). Personnel costs are charged at $80.19 hourly <br />for 624 hours (equivalent to 12 hours per week for 52 weeks). Payments will be made to City on a <br />quarterly basis for actual expenditures and based upon invoices submitted to the County <br />Superintendent by City and in accordance with the Budget (Attachment B). Any change in this <br />agreement will occur only upon mutual written agreement of both Parties. <br />3. Hold Harmless <br />The County Superintendent shall defend, indemnify, and save harmless the City, its council, boards, <br />commissions, officers, employees and agents ("City Indemnitees") from and against any and all <br />claims, suits, actions, liability, loss, damage, expense, cost (including, costs and fees of litigation) of <br />every nature, kind or description, which may be brought against, or suffered or sustained by City <br />Indemnitees to the extent such claims, suits, actions, liability, loss, damage, expense, cost (including <br />costs and fees of litigation) of every nature, kind or description which may be brought against, or <br />suffered or sustained by City hldemnitees are caused by the negligent act or omission, intentional <br />Page 1 of 7 <br />REV: 07-03-17 PR <br />ATTY/AGR.2017.151/San Mateo County Office of Education <br />
