11/08/2004 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 14615 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE MEMBERSHIP OF A RELOCATION APPEALS BOARD FOR THE CITY AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency ") currently provides for a Relocation Appeals Board for individuals and businesses aggrieved by relocation decisions; and WHEREAS, Section 204 of the Agency Rules and Regulations for Implementation of the California Relocation Assistance Law and Property Acquisition Procedures, adopted January 25, 1999, states that the Relocation Appeals Board shall consist of five members who shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the City Council, and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (the "City") does not have separate procedures for relocation appeals and currently follows State relocation law as contained in 25 California Code of Regulations, Division 1, Chapter 6; and WHEREAS, State law permits the creation of a committee to hear formal relocation appeals; and WHEREAS, to provide for consistency between City and Agency procedures, the City desires to use the same board for formal relocation appeals as that used by the Agency; and WHEREAS, the Mayor has proposed that the City /Agency Relocation Appeals Board consist of the chairpersons of the following City bodies: the City Planning Commission, the Architectural Review Committee, the Historic Resources Advisory Board; the Board of Building Review and the Housing and Human Concerns Commission and that in the event that a chairperson is unable to serve, the vice chairperson of that body will be the member. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY 1.
