Stangel <br />CITY COUNCIL /PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JOINT STUDY SESSION - GENERAL PLAN <br />ADJOURNED STUDY SESSION <br />CALL TO ORDER - 6:35 p.m., Mayor Greenalch presiding <br />M I N U T E S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />1044 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City <br />SEPTEMBER 5, 1989 <br />Councilmembers present: Buchan, Claire, LaBerge, Murray, Stangel and <br />Mayor Greenalch <br />Councilmembers absent: Bury <br />Planninq Commissioners present: Asmus, Audsley, Ladd, Nobles, O'Connell, Quirk <br />Planning Commissioners absent: Sanfilipo <br />Staff and officials present: Jean, Prestidge, Jorgenson, Pawloski, Church, <br />Patterson, Passanisi <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Councilman Murray <br />INVOCATION - Father Vern Jones <br />St. Peters Episcopal Church <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Council Meeting 8/28/89 <br />Study Session 8/28/89 <br />M /S: Buchan /Murray to approve the subject Minutes as submitted. <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote with Councilman Claire abstaining. <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />a. Father Vern Jones from St. Peters Episcopal Church described hardships <br />caused by parking permit process near Sequoia High School. Councilman <br />Claire suggested temporary parking permits to be issued to St. Peters <br />Church until permanent and acceptable solution can be worked out. <br />Vice Mayor LaBerge advised she will be chairing meetings concerning long- <br />term solutions to the Sequoia High School and surrounding neighbors <br />parking problems and advised that parking restrictions would not be <br />enforced until September 14, 1989. <br />Adj.Study Session <br />Minutes <br />9/5/89 <br />Page 1 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 49 <br />Page No. 86 <br />
