<br /> (08/26/96) <br />~~ AGREEMENT <br /> Friends For Youth, Inc. <br />~ THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of <br />/ ~ ,1996, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Friends For Youth, Inc., a California <br />nonprofit corporation ("Contractor"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides serves to at risk youth by creating and cultivating long <br />term, one to one friendships with adult volunteer mentors; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program <br />for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, <br />1997; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Three Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($3,500); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br />1 . FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Three <br />Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($3,500) for exclusive use by Contractor during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, solely for the purposes <br />described in paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 <br />solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto <br />and by this reference incorporated herein. <br />3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this agreement <br />which are funded by the financial assistance provided under paragraph 1 shall be made without <br />the prior written consent of City. <br />
