<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> (08/25/97) <br /> AGREEMENT <br />Mills Peninsula Hospital Senior Focus (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program <br /> of San Mateo County) <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 4 t~ day of <br />~~Mber , 1997, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Mills Peninsula Hospital Senior Focus <br />(Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of San Mateo County), a California nonprofit <br />organization ("Contractor"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides volunteer opportunities for people age 55 and older with <br />a myriad of experience and interests from all economic, educational, and social backgrounds; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program <br />for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, <br />1998; and <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Three Thousand, Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($3,500); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1 . FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Three <br />Thousand, Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($3,500) for exclusive use by Contractor during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, solely for the purposes <br />described in paragraph 2. <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 <br />solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto <br />and by this reference incorporated herein. <br />
