<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> (08/25/97) <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ß<3~ day of <br />~'1'J"'fjJ , 1997, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and <br />San Mateo Counties, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides food to San Mateo County agencies and sites serving <br />women and children, the "working poor", families in transition, the elderly, and disabled on low <br />fixed incomes; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program <br />for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, <br />1998; and <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Six Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($6,000); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1 . FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Six Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($6,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, solely for the purposes described in <br />paragraph 2. <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 <br />solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto <br />and by this reference incorporated herein. <br /> . <br />
