RECEIVED <br />Crry MANAGER'S OFFICE <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN OCT 0 4 200 <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN MA WF PXDWOOD CITY <br />FOR <br />STORMWATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PROGRAM SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this X�-- day of 2001, by and <br />between the County of San Mateo, hereinafter called "County" and t e "City of Redwood City", <br />hereinafter called "Contractor'; <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG), <br />the County of San Mateo, and the twenty (20) incorporated cities in San Mateo County, as co - <br />permittees, were issued a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit for the discharge <br />of storm water to San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean on September 14, 1993 (NPDES Permit <br />No. CAS0029921), which was reissued by RWQCB Order No. 99-59, on July 21, 1999. <br />WHEREAS, NPDES Permit No. CAS0029921 requires the implementation of the San <br />Mateo County Storm Water Management Plan. <br />WHEREAS, the Storm Water Management Plan requires the Contractor develop and <br />implement a program to inspect commercial and industrial facilities throughout the Contractor for <br />compliance with the NPDES Permit. <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor is a municipal corporation of the State of California with the <br />authority to control the discharge surface waters from its jurisdiction. <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor is authorized by Section 31000 of the Government Code of the <br />State of California to contract for the implementation of the activities contemplated by this <br />agreement. <br />WHEREAS, the authority for these inspections is derived from the County's Stormwater <br />Management and Discharge Control Program Ordinance and the City's Stormwater Pollution <br />Prevention Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY THE PARTIES HERETO AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. Services to be Performed by County <br />The County shall provide Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program Services for <br />Contractor as described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein. <br />2.
