PC 04-01 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE MITIGATION MONITORING AND <br />REPORTING PROGRAM; RECOMMENDING FINDINGS CONCERNING <br />SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS; AND APPROVING A <br />STATEMENT OF OVERRIDING CONSIDERATIONS IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FOR THE <br />ABBOTT LABORATORIES WEST COAST RESEARCH CENTER <br />PROJECT FOR WHICH AN ENV!RONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT HAS <br />BEEN PREPARED. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City ("City") prepared a Final Environmental <br />Impact Report ("FEIR") for the Abbott Laboratories ("Abbott") West Coast Research <br />Center Project ("Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City reviewed and <br />analyzed the FEIR and certified the FEIR to be complete in accordance with the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") and state and local <br />regulations on February 1 0, 2004; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CEQA requires in connection with the approval of a project for which <br />an EIR has been prepared, which identifies one or more significant environmental <br />effects, that certain findings be made regarding the significant environmental effects; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed all staff reports and all other <br />information in the record and has considered the information contained therein, <br />including the written and oral comments received at public hearings on the Project and <br />makes the findings contained in this Resolution. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. MMRP. The Planning Commission hereby approves the Mitigation and <br />Monitoring and Reporting Program ("MMRP") for the Project which the Commission <br />reviewed and which is on file with the City Clerk. The MMRP identifies impacts of the <br />Project, corresponding mitigations, designation of responsibility for mitigation <br />implementation and the agency responsible for the monitoring action. <br /> <br />2. Statement of OverridinQ Considerations.
