Gateway Redevelopment Area and Transporation Facility <br />Following a brief review by Edward Gee, Architect, relating to latest <br />revision in proposals for the Innisfree development, and alternative sites <br />for a transportation facility, the Directors discussed advantages and <br />disadvantages of the proposed locations, from the viewpoint of convenience, <br />traffic circulation, economics of land use, central location, and <br />accommodation of both Centre and Gateway sub areas. The consensus of the <br />Board was that of the locations proposed, the site located in the vicinity <br />of Jefferson Avenue northeast of the railroad tracks is the preferred one. <br />At the suggestion of Edward Gee, City Manager Smith indicated he will <br />contact CalTrans by letter expressing the interest of the City in having an <br />appraisal of the property. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business, the Board of Directors adjourned at 9:10 p.m. <br />to a Study Session on Wednesday, September 18, 1985, at 7 :30 p.m., in the <br />Community Activities Building, for discussion of the City Centre project. <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 46 <br />Page No. 38 <br />Redev.Agency <br />9/10/85 <br />Community Activities Building <br />1400 Roosevelt Avenue <br />FRANCES I.
