Stangel <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - Study Session <br />MINUTES <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />September 18, 1985 <br />7:30 p.m. <br />Community Activities Building <br />1400 Roosevelt Avenue <br />CALL TO ORDER - 7:35 p.m., Chairman Britschgi presiding <br />Directors present: Claire, Mosher, Rhodes (arrived 7 :50 p.m.), Stangel and <br />Mayor Britschgi <br />Directors absent: Bury, Chandler <br />Staff and others present: Schricker, Schroeter, Church, Patterson, and <br />Reggetts; also Bryan Grunwald, and representatives of the <br />press <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />GENERAL <br />1. City Centre Project (1401 -03) <br />Bryan Grunwald, of Hall, Goodhue, Haisley and Barker, referred to the <br />Centre Area Revitalization Plan which he stated is a specific, committal <br />type plan by which development would proceed. <br />He stated that if the Plan is adopted, the City would then be ready to <br />proceed with Phase 1. <br />Discussion followed and Mr. Grunwald replied to questions by Council <br />regarding the fact that the success of succeeding phases will depend upon <br />how well the first phase is done; to concerns regarding sufficient <br />convenient parking; that project areas will each provide its own parking; <br />the extent of the flexibility of the Plan, and the fact that the Plan must <br />be consistent with the General Plan and conform to City Codes, but can <br />legislatively be changed. <br />Chairman Britschgi determined that it was the consensus of the Board to <br />place the Centre Area Revitalization Plan on a forthcoming Redevelopment <br />Agency Agenda for consideration of its adoption. <br />There being no further business, the Redevelopment Agency adjourned at <br />9:20 p.m. <br />FRANCES I.
