Agency, December 17, 1984 <br />City Council Meeting, December 17, 1984 <br />M /S: Chandler / Stangel to approve the subject Minutes as submitted. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote, Councilwoman Mosher abstaining. <br />SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Mayor Britschgi called attention to the victory of the San Francisco 49ers over <br />the Chicago Bears in the National Football Conference playoff game on January 6, <br />1985, which established the 49ers as Champions who will represent the NFC in the <br />Super Bowl on January 20, 1985. Mayor Britschgi proclaimed the week of January 14 <br />through 20, 1985 "Super Bowl XIX Week" in Redwood City and encouraged everyone to <br />participate in the celebrations for the event. <br />1. Presentations of Plaques for Distinguished Service to Bill Riddle <br />and Frank H. Eaton, retiring from the Department of Public Works <br />and to Garold Heinkel, retiring from the General Services Department <br />Mayor Britschgi presented the Plaque for Distinguished Service to <br />Bill Riddle, commended him for his service to the City and wished him <br />many happy and rewarding years of retirement. <br />Mayor Britschgi said that Carold Heinkel and Frank Eaton were unable to <br />attend, and noted that plaques will be presented personally'to them later. <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />1/7/85 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 45 <br />Page No. 224 <br />
