Review for consistency with Redevelopment Plan -
Main/Broadway

Report of City Manager and Planning Director 6/6/85

Planning Director Schroeter summarized his report, noting that a represen-
tative of Mr. Nagel, the developer, is present and the report had been
discussed with him. He ind icated that h is purpose in bringing the matter of
the application for an Architectural Permit and partial exemption from the
off-street parking requirements to the attention of the Board, was so that the
members would be aware of some negative aspics of the proposal, including the
fact that it is a small project, that it will provide insufficient parking for
a building of its size; that the tentative Redevelopment Plan calls for
utilizing public parking areas for other purposes and requires that parking be
provided on the individual parcels as they are developed; that the
Redevelopment Plan shows the subject lot, along with the adjacent lot
containing t\'K> businesses on Main Street, as one parcel; and that the
developer's plans do not show any frontage on Main Street and instead proposes
a building facing onto Broadway.

Reg.Mtg.Redev.Agency
6/10/85

MINUTE BOOK NO. 45
Page No. 460

1_-
