Chandler <br />Marguer;te Leipzig <br /> <br />BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CHAMBERS <br /> <br />401 MARSHALL STREET <br /> <br />January 11, 1982 <br /> <br />B,II Rhode. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />The meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City as the <br />Redevelopment Agency met on this date at 8:31 p.m. with Chairman Biagi <br />presiding. <br /> <br />Directors present: <br /> <br />Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Leipzig, Rhodes, Stangel, <br />and Chairman Biagi <br /> <br />Directors absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Officials and staff prese~ Smith, Schricker, Hildebrand, and Addiego, <br />Schroeter, Griffiths, Bold <br /> <br />Also present: <br /> <br />Frank Fargo of Wainwright & Ramsey Inc. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Planning Commission transmitted 1/6/82. <br /> <br />Chairman Biagi observed that the matter before the Agency is the Planning <br />Commission recommendation and report regarding adoption of a Project Area <br />comprised of four areas and a Preliminary Plan and the setting of the <br />1981-82 base year for assessment purposes. <br /> <br />Frank Farqo, Wainwright & Ramsey Inc., 1400 K Street, Sacramento, <br />commented on the procedures necessary to go ahead with the Redevelopment <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Smith reported that the City has maintained <br />contact with the school districts, the County and other taxing agencies <br />which might be affected. <br /> <br />Discussion follo~ed and Mr. Fargo commented and replied to questions <br />relating to the responsibilities and makeup of the fiscal review <br />committee; the positions of taxing agencies which might be affected by <br />the Redevelopment Plan, but not necessarily harmed by it; the notice <br />requirements; the fact that project areas need not be contiguous as long <br />as they are in the survey area; and to the boundary lines on the maps <br />attached to the Preliminary Plan. <br /> <br />(Director Stangel left the Council Chambers at 9:00 p.m. and did not <br />return.) <br /> <br />Mr. Smith advised that no action of Council is recommended at this time, <br />as a full legal description of the areas is required. He said unless <br />there is objection, the appropriate resolution will appear on the Consent <br />Calendar of the Agencyts next meeting.
