ORIGINAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE CITY OF BELMONT FOR COST ALLOCATION FOR THE RALSTON/ROUTE 101 INTERCHANGE AND ISLAND PARK DIRECT ACCESS PROJECT THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~71 day of /hð /2.¡ L , 1999, by and between the CITY OF BELMONT, a municipal corporation of the State of California ("BELMONT") , and THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California ("REDWOOD CITY"). WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, BELMONT requires the development of conceptual plans for the Ralston/Route 1 01 Interchange and Island Park Direct Access Project (the "Project"); and WHEREAS, BELMONT has entered into a consulting agreement (the "Consulting Agreement") with MARK THOMAS & CO., INC. ("Consultant") for preparation of said plans by way of the agreement attached as Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the Project, as depicted in the map attached hereto as Exhibit B, mutually benefits the Cities of Belmont and Redwood City in certain respects; and WHEREAS, the parties desire hereby to allocate costs of the Project between the two Cities so that REDWOOD CITY pays the design costs for the improvements identified as "Interchange Improvements" and BELMONT pays the design costs identified as "Island Park Direct Access Improvements" as shown in Exhibit B. NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. SCOPE OF WORK/PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN. The Scope of Work for the Project is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as Exhibit C.
