<br />DES:djk <br /> <br />/11/93 <br /> <br />(078/34) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />S/1l/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11984 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL AND SUPPORTING THE <br />LISTING OF THE FOX/ SEQUOIA THEATER BUILDING, A LOCAL <br />HISTORIC LANDMARK LOCATED AT 2211-2233 BROADWAY IN THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF <br />HISTORIC PLACES TO THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF HISTORIC <br />PRESERVATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the National Historic <br /> <br />Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, and in accordance with the <br /> <br />National Register of Historic Places Standards, as set forth in <br /> <br />36 CFR Part 60, <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City should <br /> <br />forward <br /> <br />its <br /> <br />recommendation of <br /> <br />approval <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />support <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />application <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />California Office of Historic Preservation for listing on the <br /> <br />National Register of Historic Places; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a National Register Nomination Application for the <br /> <br />Fox Theater/New Sequoia Theater Building has been prepared and <br /> <br />submitted <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />Mr. <br /> <br />Kent <br /> <br />Seavey, <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />qualified <br /> <br />historian <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />consultant retained by the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />This Council hereby recommends approval of, and supports the <br /> <br />listing of the Fox Theater/New Sequoia Theater Building on the <br /> <br />National Register of Historic Places to the California Office of <br /> <br />Historic Preservation. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
