<br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />DES:djk n4/26/93 <br />5/1v/93 <br /> <br />(073/34) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11974 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR PURCHASE OF 45 MULTI- <br />PURPOSE ULTRASONIC LEVEL CONTROLLERS; AND AUTHORI ZING <br />EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City, the City Manager caused public <br /> <br />notice <br /> <br />inviting <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />published <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />forty-five <br /> <br />(45) <br /> <br />multi-purpose ultrasonic <br /> <br />level controllers <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />sewer and storm water pumping equipment operations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication one bid was received; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, JM Squared & Associates of Concord, California is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to accept the bid thereof; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />bid <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />JM <br /> <br />Squared <br /> <br />& <br /> <br />Associates <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Concord, <br /> <br />California, <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />total <br /> <br />amount <br /> <br />of Ninety-one <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />Three <br /> <br />Hundred Sixty-five and 44/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($91,365.44), computed in <br /> <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated April 12, <br /> <br />1993 for <br /> <br />the sale of 45 multi-purpose ultrasonic level controllers, which <br /> <br />bid <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />file <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />office <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Clerk, <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />which <br /> <br />reference is hereby made <br /> <br />for the <br /> <br />full particulars thereof, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby accepted, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />lowest <br /> <br />responsible <br /> <br />bidder <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />sale <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />multi-purpose <br /> <br />ultrasonic <br /> <br />level <br /> <br />controllers <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City's <br /> <br />Department of General Services. <br /> <br />-- ..------...._..,.......--_._..._--,...~-,_......., <br />
