<br />DES:d;~ 04/21/93 <br /> <br />(070/34) <br /> <br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />~~ <br />4/26/93 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11966 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR LOCAL ASSISTANCE <br />GRANT UNDER THE NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />GRANTS-IN-AID ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Congress, <br /> <br />under <br /> <br />Public <br /> <br />Law <br /> <br />89-665, <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />authorized the establishment of a National Historic Preservation <br /> <br />Grants-in-Aid Program (the "Program") providing matching funds to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />State <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />its <br /> <br />eligible <br /> <br />subdivisions <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />historic preservation survey, registration, and planning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the State Department of Parks and Recreation has <br /> <br />been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the <br /> <br />Program <br /> <br />within <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />State, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />established <br /> <br />necessary <br /> <br />procedures <br /> <br />governing <br /> <br />application <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />local <br /> <br />agencies <br /> <br />under <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said procedures require the applicant to certify by <br /> <br />resolution the approval of an application before submission of an <br /> <br />application to the State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />application <br /> <br />contains <br /> <br />assurances <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />applicant must comply with; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the applicant agency must enter into an agreement <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />State <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />acquisition, <br /> <br />development, <br /> <br />rehabilitation or restoration of the project or projects therein <br /> <br />described; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />This Council hereby: <br />
