<br />a K I GIN A L <br /> <br />DES: ë'. 04/06/93 <br />4/12/93 <br /> <br />(059/34) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11958 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />CONVEY THE PROPERTY TO OTHER PUBLIC AGENCIES TO BE USED <br />FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />owns <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />personal <br /> <br />property assigned to the Police Department, <br /> <br />consisting of gun <br /> <br />lockers, athletic lockers and miscellaneous furnishings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />received <br /> <br />evidence <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />property is not needed for present or prospective municipal or <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />purposes <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Ci ty of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />should <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />declared surplus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37351 this City <br /> <br />Council may dispose of property no longer required for City use, <br /> <br />but nevertheless to be used for public purposes without sale; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Redwood City Charter Section 3. ~ (d) , <br /> <br />this Council finds it in the public interest and for the benefit <br /> <br />of the City to convey the property to other public agencies to be <br /> <br />used for public purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and <br /> <br />determined that the current reasonable market value of the total <br /> <br />of each of the surplus items to be given as a unit is less than <br /> <br />Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />declare said property surplus and to authorize conveyance thereof <br /> <br />to other public agencies to be used for public purposes; <br /> <br />,,'....-.. ---...".... .._,.,--,,_.....,---,-_....~,_.._-_." ._,,---,., <br />
