<br />FXS:dft <br /> <br />- ~8/93 (OO7b/35) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />8/16/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. 12041 <br /> <br />---------- -- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF SANTA <br />CLARA AND SAN MATEO COUNTIES <br /> <br />(OPERATION BROWN BAG) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San <br /> <br />Mateo Counties ("Contractor") conducts a free food distribution <br /> <br />program for elderly residents of the City of Redwood City (the <br /> <br />"Program"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br /> <br />order to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1993, and ending June 30, 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Six Thousand <br /> <br />and No/IOO Dollars <br /> <br />($6,000.00) <br /> <br />from its Community Development <br /> <br />Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br /> <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Second Harvest Food Bank <br /> <br />of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties <br /> <br />(Operation Brown Bag)", <br /> <br />(form dated 7/27/93), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, a <br /> <br />,...- . -......-......,....... ----"'.--""'.-' . <br />
