<br />FXS:dft <br /> <br />7/')7/93 <br /> <br />(007e/35) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />8/16/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />12037 <br /> <br />---------- -- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH MIDPENINSULA CITIZENS FOR FAIR HOUSING <br /> <br />(FAIR HOUSING COUNSELING PROGRAM) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Midpeninsula <br /> <br />Citizens <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />Fair <br /> <br />Housing <br /> <br />("Contractor") <br /> <br />conducts a fair housing counseling program for <br /> <br />residents of the City of Redwood City (the "Program"); and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br /> <br />order to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br /> <br />July 1, 1993, and ending June 30, 1994; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, <br /> <br />the sum of Thirty-One <br /> <br />Thousand Five Hundred and No/IOO Dollars ($31,500.00) from its <br /> <br />Community <br /> <br />Development <br /> <br />Block <br /> <br />Grant <br /> <br />funds <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />foregoing <br /> <br />purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Midpeninsula Citizens for <br /> <br />Fair Housing <br /> <br />(Fair Housing Counseling Program)", <br /> <br />(form dated <br /> <br />7/27/93), <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />between <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing, a copy of which agreement <br /> <br />"><"""»"""""""""" ,-.......-... ..-.."-.....,,. <br />
