<br />OR\G\NAl <br /> <br />(08/11/03) <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Community Education Center <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 11th day of August, 2003, by and between the <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Community <br /> <br />Education Center, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor"); <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides a quality, multi-cultural preschool program in RWC in English <br /> <br />and Spanish for children of primarily low-income families; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program for <br /> <br />residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Six <br /> <br />Thousand One Hundred Eighty and No/100 Dollars ($6,180); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Six Thousand One <br /> <br />Hundred Eighty and No/100 Dollars ($6,180) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br /> <br />commencing July 1,2003, and ending June 30, 2004, solely for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 solely <br /> <br />for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto and by this <br /> <br />reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this agreement which <br /> <br />are funded by the financial assistance provided under paragraph 1 shall be made without the prior written <br /> <br />consent of City. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />PAYMENTS. Contractor shall keep detailed and accurate records of all expenditures made <br /> <br />and expenses incurred which are funded under this agreement. Payments of funds allocated pursuant to <br />
