<br />DES:djk ~7/21/93 <br /> <br />(103/34) <br /> <br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />8/2/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />12025 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE STREET OVERLAY PROJECT <br />1993-1994; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12002, adopted July 21, <br /> <br />1993, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Street Overlay <br /> <br />Project 1993-1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />advertisement, <br /> <br />six <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pavex Construction Company, a division of Granite <br /> <br />Rock Company, of San Jose, California, is the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to Pavex Construction Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Pavex Construction Company, in the amount of <br /> <br />Three Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-three and <br /> <br />60/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($368,863.60) , <br /> <br />computed in accordance with said <br /> <br />bidder I S proposal dated July 21, <br /> <br />1993, <br /> <br />for the Street Overlay <br /> <br />Project 1993-1994, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said <br /> <br />work. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br /> <br />07/21/93) <br /> <br />by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California and Pavex Construction <br /> <br />Company, a copy of which agreement is on file in the Office of <br />
