<br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />DES:djk 07/01/93 (096/34) <br />DES:djk /19/93R <br /> <br />8/2/93 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />12024 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF JOINT <br />EXERCISE POWERS AGREEMENT FOR CONSOLIDATED PUBLIC <br />STREET RESURFACING PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Belmont proposes to advertise for bids <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />resurfacing <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />streets <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />roadways <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />consolidated project for the public agencies which shall become <br /> <br />signatories <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />agreement <br /> <br />hereinafter <br /> <br />referenced <br /> <br />(the <br /> <br />"Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Belmont has invited the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City to participate in the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />reviewed <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />proposed <br /> <br />agreement <br /> <br />between and among the City of Belmont, the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and the City of the Town of Woodside pursuant to which the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City shall participate in the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the procedures described in said agreement comport <br /> <br />with the requirements of the Charter of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Code <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />relating <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />advertisement <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />for, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />construction <br /> <br />of, <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />improvements; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Joint Exercise of Powers <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />Between <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Cities <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Belmont, <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City, <br /> <br />and <br />
