<br />DES:djk n8/25/93 <br /> <br />(115/34) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L <br />R E S 0 L U T I 0 N <br />- - - - - - - - - - <br /> <br />9/13/93 <br /> <br />NO. 12073 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE INTERIOR PAINTING OF <br />MUNICIPAL SERVICES CENTER EQUIPMENT SERVICES; AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.65 of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City, <br /> <br />written <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />without <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />advertisement were <br /> <br />solici ted for the interior painting of the Municipal Services <br /> <br />Center - Equipment Services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />solicitation <br /> <br />three <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, E. Turman & Company, Inc. of Livermore, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to accept the bid of said E. <br /> <br />Turman & <br /> <br />Company, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of E. Turman & Company, Inc. in the amount of <br /> <br />Fifteen <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />Eight <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />Eighty-one <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />No/lOO <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($15,881.00) <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />bidder's <br /> <br />proposal <br /> <br />dated <br /> <br />August <br /> <br />19, <br /> <br />1993, <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />interior <br /> <br />painting <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the Municipal <br /> <br />Service Center - Equipment Services is hereby accepted, and said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder in <br /> <br />response to solicitation for bids without advertisement for said <br /> <br />work of improvement. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br /> <br />08/25/93) <br /> <br />by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California and E.
