<br />DES-~jk <br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />02/23/93 <br /> <br />(#21) <br /> <br />3/B/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />11950 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY -OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns that certain personal <br /> <br />property <br /> <br />listed <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />Exhibit <br /> <br />"A", <br /> <br />attached <br /> <br />hereto <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />reference incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />received <br /> <br />evidence <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />property is not needed for present or prospective municipal or <br /> <br />public purposes, and should be declared surplus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and <br /> <br />determined that the current reasonable market value of the total <br /> <br />of each of the surplus items to be sold as a unit is less than <br /> <br />Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />declare <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />property <br /> <br />surplus <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />authorize <br /> <br />its <br /> <br />sale <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance with Section 3! of the Charter of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />This Council hereby finds, determines and declares that <br /> <br />those items listed on Exhibit "A" are surplus; that they are no <br /> <br />longer necessary or required for municipal or public purposes; <br /> <br />and that the appraised value of the total of each of the items to <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />sold <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />unit <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />less <br /> <br />than <br /> <br />Five <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($5,000.00) . <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />This <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />authorizes <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />sale <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City-owned property described in Exhibit "A" in accordance with <br /> <br />Section 3~ of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />, """--""'-""'---""'.'.""---""""'" <br />
