<br />DES:djk 12/05/9l <br />UGINAL <br />December 16, 1991 <br /> <br />(l25/28) <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. 11658 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF ONE (1) <br />VEHICLE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />written <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />without <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />advertisement <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />solicited <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />one <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />vehicle <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />law <br /> <br />enforcement purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />solicitation <br /> <br />three <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Fremont Ford of Newark, <br /> <br />California is the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to accept the bid thereof; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Fremont Ford of Newark, California, for the <br /> <br />sale of one (1) 1991 Ford F150 Pickup to the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />in the amount of Thirteen Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-two and <br /> <br />33/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($13,492.33) <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated November 25, <br /> <br />1991, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted, <br /> <br />and said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br /> <br />the model desired for such law enforcement purposes. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br /> <br />Fremont Ford is, and each of them hereby are, waived. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute such purchase orders or other purchase documents (in form <br /> <br />approved <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Attorney) <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />effectuate <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />approved hereby. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />11658 <br />
