<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE BETWEEN THE <br />Redwood City School District AN D The City of Redwood City <br /> <br />~ <br />This agreement is made on thiS/(P day of M~, 1998 by and between <br />the Redwood City Elementary School District (RCSD) and The City of Redwood City <br />(CONTRACTOR). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the RCSD desires to obtain services to coordinate and implement <br />the Early Childhood Intervention Project, a collaborative project of RCSD, Redwood <br />City 2000, the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City Healthy Start Network <br />funded by the Peninsula Partnership for Children, Youth and Families. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR desires to provide coordination and support to the <br />RCSD. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. SERVICES <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR agrees to provide professional services to the RCSD in <br />accordance with the terms and conditions of this agreement. <br /> <br />2. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR agrees the provide contract services as needed and <br />subject to availability to provide up to 10 hours per week of coordination <br />for the Early Childhood Intervention Project. Coordination services to be <br />performed include: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Identify, develop and integrate the implementation of Kindergarten <br />readiness activities into existing community programs. <br />Serve as liaison between the Redwood City School District and <br />community-based preschool programs to facilitate the alignment of <br />programs. <br />Identify and communicate training opportunities to build the capacity <br />of preschool providers specifically in the area of Kindergarten <br />readiness. <br />Expand parent/child classes offered through the Redwood City Parks, <br />Recreation and Community Services Department. <br />Identify and assess opportunities to expand readiness activities <br />through other venues in the community such as churches and <br />community organizations. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3. USE OF SUBCONTRACTORS <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR shall not assign this Agreement or any portion thereof to a <br />third party without the prior written consent of the District. <br />
