<br />DES:djk <br /> <br />11/15/91 (119/28) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />12/2/91 <br /> <br />-------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11653 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR BROADWAY/BREWSTER <br />ROOSEVELT/UPTON WHIPPLE/WINSLOW INTERCONNECT TRAFFIC <br />SIGNAL PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11619 adopted October 7, <br /> <br />1991, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />advertised <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Broadway/ <br /> <br />Brewster <br /> <br />Roosevelt/Upton <br /> <br />Whipple/Winslow <br /> <br />Interconnect <br /> <br />Traffic <br /> <br />Signal Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />advertisement, <br /> <br />six <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, G.A.B. Construction, Inc., San Jose, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to accept the bid of said bidder; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of G.A.B. Construction, Inc., in the amount of <br /> <br />Two Hundred Thirty-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-eight and <br /> <br />No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($238,888.00) , <br /> <br />computed in accordance with said <br /> <br />bidder's <br /> <br />proposal <br /> <br />dated <br /> <br />November <br /> <br />5, <br /> <br />1991, <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Broadway/ <br /> <br />Brewster <br /> <br />Roosevelt/Upton <br /> <br />Whipple/Winslow <br /> <br />Interconnect <br /> <br />Traffic <br /> <br />Signal Project, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby accepted and said bidder <br /> <br />is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said <br /> <br />work. <br /> <br />.----.....-- ..-.... ... <br />
