<br />-------- <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />DES:djk 11/06/91 <br /> <br />(029/29) <br /> <br />1.l/18/91 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11640 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SELECTION AND DESIGNATION OF <br />OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />newspapers <br /> <br />have <br /> <br />been <br /> <br />adjudicated <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />newspapers of general circulation in the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 90 of the Charter of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, <br /> <br />this Council shall advertise annually for the <br /> <br />submission of sealed proposals or bids <br /> <br />from all newspapers of <br /> <br />general circulation in the City for publication of all ordinances <br /> <br />and other legal notices and matters required to be published; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the newspaper which submits the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bid <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />selected <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />aforesaid <br /> <br />purposes, <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />designated the City's "Official Newspaper"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk has submitted specifications for the <br /> <br />selection of the Official Newspaper; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Those certain specifications for the Official Newspaper of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />set <br /> <br />forth <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />certain document <br /> <br />entitled "Proposal for Official Newspaper of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City", <br /> <br />a copy of which is on <br /> <br />file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />which <br /> <br />copy <br /> <br />reference <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />made <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />full <br /> <br />particulars thereof, are hereby approved, and the City Clerk is <br /> <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for sealed proposals <br /> <br />or bids from all newspapers of general circulation in the City <br /> <br />for selection as the City's Official Newspaper. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
