<br />DES:djk 1V06/91 <br /> <br />(111/28) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />11/18/91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11635 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) <br />HAND HELD METER READER SYSTEM; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the purchase <br /> <br />of one (1) hand held meter reader system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in response to said advertisement, <br /> <br />five <br /> <br />( 5) <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were received and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Itron <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Spokane, <br /> <br />WA, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder, and it is the desire and intention of this <br /> <br />Council to award said bid to Itron Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Itron Inc. of Spokane, Washington, for the <br /> <br />sale of one (1) Hand Held Meter Reader System at a total price of <br /> <br />Twenty-nine Thousand One Hundred Forty-one <br /> <br />and No/IOO <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($29,l4l.00) , <br /> <br />computed <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />bidder's <br /> <br />revised <br /> <br />proposal <br /> <br />dated October <br /> <br />8, <br /> <br />1991, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />accepted <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder for said equipment. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all necessary or appropriate documents (in form approved <br /> <br />by the City Attorney) <br /> <br />for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City for the purchase of said hand held meter reader system in <br /> <br />accordance with the abovementioned bid. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Any and all informalities <br /> <br />in the aforementioned bid of <br /> <br />Itron Inc. are, and each of them is, hereby waived. <br />
