<br />DES:dft <br /> <br />9/l5/91 (008/31) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />10/21/91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11620 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF TEN <br />MOBILE RADIOS FOR MUNICIPAL VEHICLES <br /> <br />(10) <br /> <br />MOTOROLA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 of the <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City this Council has, on motion duly <br /> <br />made on the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members of said <br /> <br />Council, suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 <br /> <br />of said Code relating to the purchase of materials, equipment and <br /> <br />supplies with regard to the purchase hereinafter authorized on <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />grounds <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />equipment <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />unique <br /> <br />nature <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />necessary to supplement previously purchased equipment and <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />available from a single source only; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Motorola <br /> <br />Communications <br /> <br />& <br /> <br />Electronics <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />offered to supply ten (10) mobile radios required for municipal <br /> <br />purposes; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE <br /> <br />IT <br /> <br />RESOLVED <br /> <br />BY <br /> <br />THE <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />OF <br /> <br />THE <br /> <br />CITY <br /> <br />OF <br /> <br />REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />offer <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Motorola <br /> <br />Communications <br /> <br />& <br /> <br />Electronics <br /> <br />Inc., dated June 26, <br /> <br />1991, to sell to the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />ten <br /> <br />(lO) <br /> <br />Maxtrac <br /> <br />100 mobile radios <br /> <br />for a total price of Ten <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />One <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />Thirty-Three <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />No/loa <br /> <br />($10,133.00) <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby accepted. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br /> <br />authorized herein (in form approved by the City Attorney) for and <br /> <br />on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />".-~'" <br />
