<br />DES:dft <br /> <br />"/4/9l (024/30) <br />9/16/91 <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11603 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF POLICE <br />FACILITY; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS, AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Resolution No. <br /> <br />11558 adopted July 8, <br /> <br />1991, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />a new Police Facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />advertisement, <br /> <br />nine <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />S. J. Amoroso Construction Company, <br /> <br />Inc. , <br /> <br />Foster <br /> <br />City, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to S. J. <br /> <br />Amoroso Construction Company, Inc. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of S. J. Amoroso Construction Company, Inc., in <br /> <br />the amount of Seven Million Seven Hundred Fifty Six Thousand Four <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />No/I00 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($7,756,400.00) , <br /> <br />computed <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated August 27, 1991, for <br /> <br />the construction of the Redwood City Police Facility, is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />All other bids for said work, except the bid accepted <br /> <br />pursuant to paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />That <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />agreement <br /> <br />entitled <br /> <br />"Agreement <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />New <br /> <br />Police Facility" (form dated 09/04/91) by and between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California <br /> <br />- .------...--y--'--" <br />
