<br /> L)J::3:djk 0'7/01/91 (088/28) <br /> J R I G I N A L 7, ./91 <br />R E S 0 L U T I 0 N N O. 11568 <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF TWO (2) <br />POLICE MOTORCYCLES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />wri H:.en <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />wi t.hou t <br /> <br />pub lie <br /> <br />advertisement <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />solicited for the purchase of t.wo (2) police mot.orcycles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />t.o <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />solicitation <br /> <br />three <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Bike World Kawasaki, Inc. of Sunnyvale, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this Council desires to accept t.he bid of <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />Bike World Kawasaki, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Bike World Kawasaki, <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Sunnyvale, <br /> <br />California, <br /> <br />for the sale of two <br /> <br />(2 ) <br /> <br />police motorcycles to the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />ln <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />amount <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Twelve <br /> <br />Thousand Nine <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />Twenty-three <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />46/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($12,923.46) <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance wi t.h said bidder's proposal dated June 11, <br /> <br />1991, is <br /> <br />hereby accepted, and said bidder is hereby declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder in response to solicitation for bids <br /> <br />without advertisement for said equipment. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br /> <br />Bike World <br /> <br />Kawasaki, <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />is, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />each <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />them hereby <br /> <br />are, <br /> <br />waived. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute such purchase orders or other purchase documents (in form <br /> <br />approved <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Attorney) <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />effectuate <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />approved hereby. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />..-..... -~""'T" <br />
