<br />J RIG I N A L <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />D.I~S:djk ()7/0l/9l <br />7í~2/91 <br />11566 <br /> <br />(090/28) <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF ONE (1) USED <br />PASSENGER VAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />written <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />without <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />advertisement <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />solicited for the purchase of one (1) used passenger van; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />solicitation <br /> <br />three <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Avis <br /> <br />Car Sales <br /> <br />of San Jose, <br /> <br />California, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />desires <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />accept <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />bid of <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />Avis Car Sales; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Avis Car Sales of San Jose, California, for <br /> <br />the sale of one <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />used passenger van to the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />amount <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Fourteen <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />Seven <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />Ninety-eight and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($14,798.00) <br /> <br />in accordance with <br /> <br />said bidder's proposal dated June 17, 1991, is hereby accepted, <br /> <br />and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder in response to solicitation for bids without advertisement <br /> <br />for said equipment. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br /> <br />Avis Car Sales is, and each of them hereby are, waived. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute such purchase orders or other purchase documents (in form <br /> <br />approved <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Attorney) <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />effectuate <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />approved hereby <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />-""-"1r< " <br />
