<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />PREPARATION OF AN INITIAL STUDY AND AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />REPORT <br />(EIP ASSOCIATES) <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 13th day of August, <br /> <br />2001, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation <br /> <br />of the State of California, ("City"), and EIP ASSOCIATES, ("Consultant"); <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Kaiser Permanente (the "Developer") has submitted a <br /> <br />proposal to construct a new medical center bounded by Veterans Boulevard, <br /> <br />Main Street, Marshall Street, and a residential apartment building northwest of <br /> <br />Chestnut Street, in the City of Redwood City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, preparation of environmental <br /> <br />studies and documentation is required pursuant to the California Environmental <br /> <br />Quality Act ("CEQA"; Pub. Res. Code §21000 et seq.), the State Guidelines <br /> <br />implementive thereof ("State CEQA Guidelines"; 14 CCR § 15000, et seq.) and <br /> <br />the City's regulations implementive thereof ("City's CEQA Regulations"; <br /> <br />Resolution No. 6882, as amended); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to City's CEQA Regulations, City has determined <br /> <br />that said environmental studies and documentation shall be prepared pursuant <br /> <br />to contract entered into with Consultant subject to funding therefor by the <br /> <br />Developer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Developer has deposited with City the estimated fees and <br /> <br />costs to be incurred pursuant to said Agreement; and <br /> <br />T - <br />
