<br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />J~S:djk ~A/15/9l (070/28) <br />DES:djk '18/91R <br /> <br />4/22/91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11511 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR OPERATION <br />COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> <br />EXECUT ION OF <br />OF FAIR OAKS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City operates and maintains the <br /> <br />Fair Oaks Community Center (the "Center"), which facility provides <br /> <br />various <br /> <br />services, <br /> <br />including <br /> <br />community <br /> <br />recreation <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />library <br /> <br />facilities to that area known as the Fair Oaks Target Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to agreement dated February 20, <br /> <br />1979 <br /> <br />(the <br /> <br />"Agreement.") , <br /> <br />the City and the County of San Mateo have agreed <br /> <br />that the operation and maintenance of the Center shall be carried <br /> <br />out by the City, with reimbursement of a portion of said costs of <br /> <br />operation and maintenance by County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />paragraph <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />acknowledges <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />establishment of an Advisory Board for the Center which, <br /> <br />among <br /> <br />other mat.ters, <br /> <br />provides that members thereof shall be appointed <br /> <br />for two-year terms which terms expire concurrently; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties desire t.o amend t.he Agreement. t.o revise <br /> <br />said terms and dates of expiration thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by, this <br /> <br />Council an agreement providing for the foregoing amendment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />entitled <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />First <br /> <br />Amendment <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />Joint <br /> <br />Operation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Fair <br /> <br />Oaks <br /> <br />Community <br /> <br />Cent.er" , <br /> <br />'~"1r' <br />
