<br />JES:djk 01/25/91 (060/24) <br />a RIG I N A L 4/1_,91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 11507 APR 1 5 1991 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS, AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR <br />SEALED BIDS FOR SALE THEREOF, WITH RESERVED RIGHT FOR <br />SALE AT PUBLIC AUCTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns that certain personal <br /> <br />property <br /> <br />listed <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />"Exhibit A", <br /> <br />attached hereto <br /> <br />and by <br /> <br />t.his <br /> <br />reference incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />received <br /> <br />evidence <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />property is not needed for present or prospective municipal or <br /> <br />public purposes, and should be declared surplus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and <br /> <br />determined the current reasonable market value thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />declare <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />property <br /> <br />surplus <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />authorize <br /> <br />it.s <br /> <br />sale <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance with Section 3~ of the Charter of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />This Council hereby finds, determines and declares that <br /> <br />the item listed on IIExhibit All is surplus, that it is no longer <br /> <br />necessary or required for municipal or public purposes, and that <br /> <br />the appraised value of said item is more t.han Five Thousand and <br /> <br />No/100 Dollars ($5,000.00). <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed t.o <br /> <br />advertise for sealed bids for sale of said property at not less <br /> <br />than 90% of the appraised value thereof, with the right reserved <br /> <br />to the City to sell said property at public auction following the <br /> <br />submittal and opening of sealed bids, in accordance with Section <br />3~ of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />..--.-.-.. ..~¡r-'. . <br />
