<br />DES:djk 01/16/91 <br /> <br />(054/28) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />1/28/91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11470 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR TEN (10) TYPE "P" TRAFFIC <br />SIGNAL CONTROLLER CABINETS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk has caused to be published a public <br /> <br />notice <br /> <br />invi ting bids <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />ten <br /> <br />(10) <br /> <br />Type <br /> <br />"P" <br /> <br />traffic <br /> <br />signal <br /> <br />controller cabinets <br /> <br />in a newspaper of <br /> <br />general <br /> <br />circulation within the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />notice, <br /> <br />two <br /> <br />(2 ) <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tranconex, Inc., Santa Clara, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to accept the bid of said company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Tranconex, Inc, Santa Clara, California for <br /> <br />ten (10) Type lip II traffic signal controller cabinets at a total <br /> <br />bid price not to exceed Forty-three Thousand Four Hundred Thirty- <br /> <br />six and 25/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($43,436.25) computed in accordance with <br /> <br />said bidder's proposal dated January 3,1991, is hereby accepted; <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />bidder <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />found <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />declared <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said tractor mower. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />orders <br /> <br />or <br /> <br />other <br /> <br />appropriate <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />documents <br /> <br />(in <br /> <br />form approved by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City Attorney) <br /> <br />on behalf <br /> <br />-r-T' <br />
