<br /> <br />" <br /> <br /> <br />" " <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION COMl~ISSION . - Î <br />Unofficial Meeting of December 4th, 1952 '7 I I <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by the ChaimanWi1li~ <br />Hanley at7:h5 p.m. Present were Commissioners William HanleYt <br />Irving Gold, Dona~d Bogie, Ralph Case, Park Superintendent <br />Pasco Balzarini, Recreation Director Alfred Morton, and Susan <br />Fredrickson. <br /> <br />Absent: Mrs. Anna Bennett Robb, Andrew Spinas, Clement <br />. Baume, Jack Poole, and H. S. Stout. <br /> <br />Due to the fact that there was no quorum, there was no <br />official meeting. The Commissioners that were present held an <br />informal session. <br /> <br />Mr. Beshore of the Westwood Terrace Improvement Club was <br />introduced and took the floor. He requested that the Park and <br />Recreation Commission look into the possibtlity of obtaining a <br />park ~1th equipment and facilities for pre~school children in <br />Westwood Park. Mr. Morton suggested that a committee be appointed <br />to study the request as well as similar requests from Friendly <br />Acres and any and all other parks or recreation areas necessary <br />in,Redwood City. Chairman Hanley advised that since this project <br />tied in with the committee headed by Commissioner Gold, that <br />said committee could also take these requests into consideration. <br /> <br />It was reported by Secretary Gold that a letter was <br />received fro'm the Land Development Company stating that the <br />correct spelling was "Stulsaft" instead of "Stulstaft" used in <br />on of our communications. <br /> <br />SecretRry Gold was advised to send letters to Commissioners <br />Poole and 13aum,e reque sting ei ther that the~T a ttend meetings or <br />formally submi t their resignations to the Ci ty rÆanager so tl1at <br />if they resighn, new members may be qppointed in their p1acesv <br />to make a quorum so that the Park and Recreation CommisRion can c'on- <br />duct their business for wni"oh they were organized. <br /> <br />A special meeting for the Snyder CoMmittee Report and <br />discussion on the Westwood Terrace Improvemnt Club requests was <br />called by Chairman Hanley for Wednesday evening, December 12th <br />at 7:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center. <br /> <br />Due to the fact that the next regular meeting fall on <br />, New Years Day, it was decided that the rn,eeting will be held on <br />Wednesday, January 2nd in the City Council Chambers. <br /> <br />The unofficial meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectful1 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />- 111- <br /> <br />I.
