01/22/2018 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15640 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY 1) ACCEPTING THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL AND GREEN <br />STREETS INFRASTRUCTURE PILOT PROGRAM GRANT AT TAFT <br />COMMUNITY SCHOOL IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000, 2) AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH <br />C/CAG AND 3) APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION AMENDMENT TO <br />FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018 VARIOUS TRANSPORTATION GRANTS FUND <br />TO INCREASE REVENUES BY $250,000 AND TO INCREASE <br />EXPENDITURES BY $250,000 <br />WHEREAS, the City/ County Association of Governments of San Mateo County <br />(C/CAG) authorized the award of $250,000 to the City of Redwood City for a Safe <br />Routes to School and Green Streets Infrastructure Pilot Program (Program) grant for <br />the Taft Community School — Safe Routes to School/Green Infrastructure Improvements <br />Project (Project); and <br />WHEREAS, providing safe routes to school and treating stormwater runoff are <br />priorities for the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Program augments funding provided by Stanford University for <br />the Neighborhood Street Enhancement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, revenue to the Various Transportation Grants Fund for Fiscal Year <br />2017-2018 will exceed the revenue and expenditure budgets by $250,000; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the C/CAG grant and authorize <br />the City Manager to execute the Funding Agreement for the Project and to amend the <br />revenue and expenditure budgets of the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Various Transportation <br />Grants Fund to facilitate implementation of the Funding Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />ATTY/RE50.0005/CC RESO SRTS GENERAL INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT <br />REV: 01-11-18 PR <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15640 <br />MUFF NO. 505 <br />
