<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~' <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION. <br /> <br />Meeting of February 28th, cancelled due to lack of quor~. <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />Regular Meeting March 28th 1950 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chain~an Ral?h Case at <br />7:~O p.m. Present were: Chairman Ralph Case. Mrs. Anna Bennett <br />Robb, William Hanley, DonaJ.d Bogie, Andrew Spinas, Ray '~eymo'lth, <br />Pasco Balzarini, City Engineer Glenn Jain, Richard Miller, <br />,Marietta Moore, Red Morton, Architect Fred Richards. <br /> <br />Mr, Spinas reported on the possibility of the City of <br />Redwood City and the Redwood City Elementary School District <br />developing school play areas on a joint basis. Mr. Spinas stated <br />that he brought this up before his Board of Trustees and they <br />fe 1 tit was a fa.vorable idea. <br /> <br />NSC by Jack Poole and William Hanley that the Secretary <br />write a letter to the City Council to start this project. <br /> <br />Mr. Richards the architect for the Redwood City Swimming <br />Pool presented the prints which were unchecked but will be <br />completed by the week end. He felt that they could be presented <br />to the City Council on Monday night, April 3rd. The Plans and <br />Specifications 2re all completed. He stated that City Engineer <br />Jain had the report on the General Conditions of the grouqd for <br />checking. <br /> <br />MSC by Willigm Hanley and Mrs. A.B. Robb that the plans be <br />accepted as presented by Mr. Richards upon the approval of the <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br />Comm.issioner Poole recommended to City Engineer that a õompetant <br />inspector be on, the Swimming Pool project. <br /> <br />Commission approved the alternate Sunday for playing ball to <br />the Junior Seals providing that they have some local talent on <br />their team. <br /> <br />MSC by Jack Poole and William Hanley that any further work to <br />be done at the Redwood City Yacht Harbor be approved and cleared <br />through the City Council Co~mittee on the Yacht Harbor. <br /> <br />MSC by Donald Bogie and Mrs. A.B. Robb that steps be taken to <br />set up the coordinated program of Recrea t1.on and Physical Education <br />in the Elementary School as outlined at the meetinß. <br /> <br />1950-51 Fiscal year Recreation Budget was approved as presented <br />with the exception of a Cash Register, and adding machine. Commis- <br />sioners felt that an adding machine could be purchased at a cheaper <br />price and Mr. Poole offered to donate a cash register for the <br />Swi~ming Pool,.
