<br />"224 <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />August 5, 1959 <br /> <br />, I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called <br />to order by Chairman Haurice Schutz at 8: 00 p.m. in the Conference' <br />Room at the City Hall. <br /> <br />On"roll call the following were presem Chairman M~rice Schutz. <br />Commissioners: Jamés Knecht, William Hanley, Catherine Brennan, <br />Louise Tornell and Al~ Beals. Also, present were Red Morton, <br />Recreation Director, Dôn Dimitratos, Assist~t Recre~ion Director <br />and Pasco Balzarini, Park Superintendent. <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />Cò~issioner Hanley made a motion that the miootes "be approved~th <br />corrections made on Page 1, paragraph 5 making an addition to the <br />paragraph that the land be developed and excepted also, that the <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Hanley. Correction on Page 2, <br />paragraph 1, changing Service Road to read parking lot. The motion <br />was seconded by Co~issioner Brennan and carried. <br /> <br />, ' <br /> <br />Chairman Schutz made a noted of letters written last month and added <br />that no answers had been received. N'ot1ce had been received that <br />the Ordinance had bèen adopted changing the meeting place of the <br />Park and Recreation CoTn-m~.ssion to the Veterans Memorial, Build ing. <br />The.Sept~er 2~ ~eting ~ll be ~ld ~ t~ Veter~s ~orial Buil~nB. <br />Mr. Morton requested that .a letter be wri t.ten to the Vaterans <br />Memorial Commission asking their approval for reservations. <br /> <br />Chairman Schutz read a letter from the R. C. Athletic Club in which <br />they we~ ~~sting the possib~ use of the ~e~'s field for S~~ <br />pRactice games. After discussion it was agreed by the Commission <br />that a letter b~ wri t,ten to the Club stating that, the 4ger1 s have a <br />lease on the land and due to possible unforseen inclement weather. <br />The letter is to be addressed to the Olub % Edwin E. Mackey. <br /> <br />Stulsaft Park - Gold - In Commissioner Golds absence Pasco Balzarini <br />repò~ted ~he St. PiUB C~rch had been c~ping in the park for the <br />past two weeks and have just moved out. <br /> <br />Yacht Harbor - Commissioner Hanley reported that the plans for the new <br />berths were being held up. <br /> <br />Fun After Fifty - Co~issioœr Tornen reported no progress.
