. .11 MINtrrES REDWOOD CITY PARK & RECREATION CO~SSION February 2, 1966 7:30 p.m. Veterans Memorial Building. The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman A-1yn Beals at 7:30 p.m. On roll call, the following were noted present: Commissioners: A1yn Beals, Ann Gooding, Jasper Sipes, Jack Stuart and Doris Thompson. Absent: James Knecht & Robert Whitmore. Also present: Recreation Director, Alfred Morton: Park Super- tendent, Pasco Balzarini; and Bill Paulson, Recreation Supervisor. The minutes of the January meeting were approved as mailed, with t~e request that in the future that Mr. Bill Paulson be designated as a Recreation Supervisor and not as Asst. Recreation Director. Attache cases were presented to the commissioners and the Secretary asked to write a thank you note to City Manager Ullrich for providing them. CORRESPONDENCE: 1. Letter addressed to Mr. Edward Carlisle, President of the R.C. Chamber of Commerce from Dr. Alvin Meyer, which Mr. Carlisle referred to the Commission was turned over to Mr. Jack Stuart for delivery to Commissioner Whitmore: . 2. Copy of letter dated Jan. 28th from Mr. Sterling Winans to City Clerk, Mrs. Helen Moore, concerning his signing of a contract with the City for the Park and Recreation Survey: 3. Letter of resi-gnation from Mrs. Lillian Earl as stenog- rapher for taking of Commission minutes due to her inability to attend night meetings: 4. Copy of letter to Mr. Balzarini, dated Jan. 25, 1966, from Mr. Stanley Pitcher, Supt. of Parks for the City of San Mateo, con- cerning San Mateo.s tree planting program. AGENDA: 1. REDWOOD SHORES-Howard Ullrich. As Mr. Ullrich was not present, Chairman Beals announced that it was his understanding that ~he feasibility report would be released around Feb. 7th. 2. VETERANS BLVD.
