<br />. <br /> <br />.11 <br /> <br />MINtrrES <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK & RECREATION CO~SSION <br />February 2, 1966 7:30 p.m. <br />Veterans Memorial Building. <br /> <br /> <br />The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman A-1yn <br />Beals at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />On roll call, the following were noted present: <br /> <br />Commissioners: A1yn Beals, Ann Gooding, Jasper Sipes, Jack <br />Stuart and Doris Thompson. Absent: James Knecht & Robert Whitmore. <br /> <br />Also present: Recreation Director, Alfred Morton: Park Super- <br />tendent, Pasco Balzarini; and Bill Paulson, Recreation Supervisor. <br /> <br />The minutes of the January meeting were approved as mailed, with t~e <br />request that in the future that Mr. Bill Paulson be designated as a <br />Recreation Supervisor and not as Asst. Recreation Director. <br /> <br />Attache cases were presented to the commissioners and the Secretary <br />asked to write a thank you note to City Manager Ullrich for providing <br />them. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> <br />1. Letter addressed to Mr. Edward Carlisle, President of the <br />R.C. Chamber of Commerce from Dr. Alvin Meyer, which Mr. Carlisle <br />referred to the Commission was turned over to Mr. Jack Stuart for <br />delivery to Commissioner Whitmore: . <br /> <br />2. Copy of letter dated Jan. 28th from Mr. Sterling Winans to <br />City Clerk, Mrs. Helen Moore, concerning his signing of a contract <br />with the City for the Park and Recreation Survey: <br /> <br />3. Letter of resi-gnation from Mrs. Lillian Earl as stenog- <br />rapher for taking of Commission minutes due to her inability to <br />attend night meetings: <br /> <br /> <br />4. Copy of letter to Mr. Balzarini, dated Jan. 25, 1966, from <br />Mr. Stanley Pitcher, Supt. of Parks for the City of San Mateo, con- <br />cerning San Mateo.s tree planting program. <br /> <br />AGENDA: 1. REDWOOD SHORES-Howard Ullrich. As Mr. Ullrich was not <br />present, Chairman Beals announced that it was his understanding that <br />~he feasibility report would be released around Feb. 7th. <br /> <br />2. VETERANS BLVD.
