FXS: df` 10/13/92 (003/33) <br /> O R I G I N A L 10/19/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11874 <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING A VOLUNTARY REDUCED <br /> WORK HOURS PROGRAM AND FLEXIBLE WORK <br /> SCHEDULE <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Redwood City has been forced to examine <br /> various budget reduction options because of a fiscal emergency <br /> resulting from current economic conditions ; and <br /> WHEREAS , one of the options the City of Redwood City has <br /> found necessary to adopt is a temporary reduction in the <br /> compensation of its employees ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Redwood City finds it necessary to <br /> adopt a voluntary reduced work hours program and corresponding <br /> flexible work schedule to achieve a temporary reduction in the <br /> compensation of its employees ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1 . The City of Redwood City does hereby adopt a voluntary <br /> reduced work hours program and corresponding flexible work <br /> schedules . <br /> 2 . The Director of Human Resources is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to implement the voluntary reduced work program and <br /> establish corresponding flexible work schedules in pursuance <br /> thereof. <br />
