DES:d-'k 09/29/92 (003/34) <br /> O R I G I N A L <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11858 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF 9-1-1 TELEPHONE <br /> EQUIPMENT FROM PACIFIC BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN <br /> CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2 . 76 of the Redwood City Code, <br /> this Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br /> Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br /> competitive bidding for said purchase; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department desires to purchase 9-1-1 <br /> telephone equipment from the Pacific Bell Telephone Company for <br /> the emergency dispatch center at the new police facility; and <br /> WHEREAS , this Council desires to approve the purchase of <br /> said 9-1-1 telephone equipment in an amount not to exceed <br /> Twenty-nine Thousand Dollars ($29 ,000 . 00) , and to allow the <br /> Police Department to continue their ongoing business relationship <br /> with the Pacific Bell Telephone Company; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1 . This Council hereby approves the purchase of said 9-1-1 <br /> telephone equipment from the Pacific Bell Telephone Company in an <br /> amount not to exceed Twenty-nine Thousand Dollars ($29 ,000 . 00) . <br /> 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br /> authorized herein (in form approved by the City Attorney) for and <br /> on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
