<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />FAIR OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER <br />CHILD CARE FACILITY EXPANSION PROJECT <br /> <br />(THE REDWOOD CITY CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM) <br /> <br />. THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ¿;? /~ay of <br /> <br />-lffrJ¡ <br /> <br />, 2000, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br /> <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, (City), and THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, a California non-profit corporation <br /> <br />(Contractor); <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a childcare program for children who are <br /> <br />residents of the City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to improve a <br /> <br />facility to conduct the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing <br /> <br />July 1, 1999, and ending June 30,2000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor <br /> <br />the sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand and no/lOO Dollars ($150,000.00) from its <br /> <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Financial Assistance.
